Sadio Mane, Firmino give Liverpool perfect record with away win over Leicester

By Daily Sports on September 1, 2018

Liverpool are on top of the English Premier League with 12 points, after beating Leicester 2-1 at King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Goals by Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino did the damage in the first half and the Jurgen Klopp boys were able to hold their ground well after Alisson gifted Rachid Ghezzal a debut goal in the second half.

Liverpool have now notched their fourth consecutive Premier League victory – the first time they’ve ever won their opening four of a campaign.

Said Sadio Mane who scored the first goal for Liverpool in the 10th minute: “It’s very important to score for the team. We just try to do our best for the team. We played some good football, but the attitude made the difference as it was a very tough game for us. We’re all pushing all the time, and it’s important as a team to work together”
