Presidential reception for CHAN Eagles put off indefinitely

By Daily Sports on February 27, 2018

The planned presidential reception for the CHAN Eagles has been put off indefinitely according to SCORENigeria.

Quoting top team sources, the paper reported that Wednesday’s reception for the CHAN Eagles by President Muhammadu Buhari has been put off till further notice as the country’s No 1 citizen will not be available to receive the team.

This also means that a planned reception by Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will have to wait till the President has received the home-based Eagles.

“The reception for the CHAN Eagles by the President has been moved until further notice,” the source told SCORENigeria

“The plan was for the team to be hosted during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, but that will not be so now as the President is away on another state engagement.”

Against many odds, the local Eagles led by coach Salisu Yusuf went all the way to the championship game of the 2018 CHAN in Morocco.
