Canelo determined to knockout GGG in rematch

By Daily Sports on February 9, 2018

Saul Canelo Alvarez is tired of the complaining about the results of the last fight against Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin on September 16th last year.

Canelo (49-1-2, 34 KOs) is not satisfied with his fight with Triple G being scored a draw by the judges at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Canelo re-watched the fight and he saw himself winning by 2 rounds. Canelo, 27, says he’s not going to let the judges take away his victory in the second fight. He’s going to knock Golovkin out, and leave no chances for second guessing about whether he deserved the win or not.

Canelo showed that he had the better power of the two fighters in the previous fight against Golovkin. Whether that was because Canelo had bulked up or Golovkin not loading up on his shots is unknown. Golovkin threw one very hard punch in the entire fight that looked to be harder than any of Canelo’s punches, but he only loaded up one time in the fight.

“This time the judges will not have to decide the result with their scores,” Canelo said.

Canelo and Golovkin both think they won the fight. The second fight is to help clear up the matter. It’s going to be different judges working the fight, so it’ll be a clean slate.

Golovkin has already made his decision not to let the judges score the second Canelo fight. GGG thinks he won the fight, and many of his fans feel the same way. But there is just as many fans that think Canelo won. The only way to settle it is for Canelo and Golovkin to do it again.

“No judges will be needed this time,” Golovkin said.
