Nasarawa United moved out of the relegation zone following a comfortable 3-0 win against Yobe Desert Stars in their Nigeria Professional Football League match day seven fixture at the Lafia City Stadium on Monday.
Yobe Desert Stars stood firm in the face of spirited attacks by the hosts but succumbed to the pressure when Abubakar Abdullahi fired home in the 33rd minute after he was set up by Simon Zenke.
Zenke extended Nasarawa United’s lead eight minutes before the break.
Kabiru Balogun put the game beyond Yobe Desert Stars 13 minutes from time.
Nasarawa United moved from 18th to 11th position in the table following the win.
