Abubakar Bala sacked

By Daily Sports on January 5, 2018

Niger Tornadoes have sacked their technical adviser Abubakar Bala few days to the start of 2017/2018 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

Bala guided the Minna club to the final of the Aiteo Federation Cup last year where they lost on penalties to Akwa United.

He broke the news of his sacking via his official facebook page on Thursday.

“Alhamdulilah! Alhamdulilah! Alhamdulilah!. I have just been sacked from my position as the Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes. I’m indeed grateful to you for the opportunity, blessings and successes.”

Abubakar took charge in 2016 following the sacking of Abdullahi Biffo and help the Ikon Allah Boys secure their top flight status.

The club is expected to name successor before the start of the new season.

Tornadoes will host Kwara United in their match day one fixture at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on January 14. (Completesportsnigeria)
