Brook thinks Khan has found new way to avoid him

By Daily Sports on November 14, 2017

Former welterweight champion Kell Brook believes that Amir Khan’s decision to enter the reality TV show ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ is a new way for him to avoid fighting him.

Khan, 30, has been out of action since last year. Khan says he wants to fight 3 times in 2018, so there’s a chance that one of those opponents will be Brook.

Khan needs to regain look good next year when he returns to the ring. He fought only once in 2016 against Saul Canelo Alvarez and once in 2015 against Chris Algieri and looked bad in both fights.

The last time Khan fought well was 3 years ago in his win over Devon Alexander in 2014.

“I think he’s travelled over to the other end of the world to get away from me,” Brook said to skysports.com. “The next thing he’ll be saying is, if Kell comes to the jungle and lasts longer than he does, he’ll fight me then!”

Brook hasn’t fought in a while as well. His last fight was in May of this year in getting stopped in the 11th round by Errol Spence Jr. Brook suffered a broken eye socket in that fight, and he’s been out of action after having surgery on the eye.

This surgery followed the first one he had on the right eye in his loss to Gennady “GGG” Golovkin last year in September.

“I still want to come back, I still want to be world champion, I still want to have big fights,” said Brook.
