Okumagba inaugurates Niger State Chapter of Supporters Club today

By Ojuolape Adegoke, Minna on October 18, 2017

President of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC), Prince Vincent Okumagba, will today, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, inaugurate the Niger State Chapter of the club at the request of the state members.

Okumagba, in a telephone conversation with Daily Sports, expressed delight at the level of enthusiasm by the football-loving people of Niger State, including the State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.

He said: “We are here to further demonstrate our depth and love for the most followed singular sport in the globe and therefore book Niger State into the hall of states where Supporters Club truly exists. I must say that under my watch, the club has been witnessing tremendous followership and, above all, sanity, discipline, zeal, spirit of sportsmanship, unity, equality, sense of responsibility and above all love for human life has taken its full course hence you have seen the influx of new and committed members that includes prominent Nigerians now in our fold as members since my executive took the oath of office last year.

“I must acknowledge that it remains a thing of great joy to the club. Normalcy and one united family that eluded us for years finally return. We now plan and execute our programmes without hassle hence the big attraction to new members and inauguration of more new State Chapters into the fold took its roots.”

Okumagba called on other states that are planning for their inauguration to learn from Niger State “where things are already in place as if the club has been existing in the state.”

Okumagba thanked Nigerlites and Governor Sani Bello for his unflinching support for all sports in the state. He thumbed up the Governor for his support which enabled Niger Tornadoes FC to emerge 2017 Aiteo Federation Cup runners-up after gallantly losing to Akwa United in the finals decided in Lagos on Sunday.
