El-Kanemi Warriors FC has dropped 15 players and retained 25 ahead of the new season, affirming that Coach lssah Ladan Bosso was never sacked.

In a statement sent to Daily Sports, the Club’s Media Manager, Anthony Obaseki,   informed that the coach had a good working relationship with the management during his two years stay with the team.

“I want to state categorically and clearly too, that the news making the rounds that El-Kanemi Warriors FC sacked coach Bosso never emanated from the Management of the Maiduguri based side as there is no iota of truth in the entire fabricated write up, a typical show of yellow journalism.

“Never was he sacked, just that he has served out his two years contract with the team and the contract expired last month and the board did not renew it, which is normal. It will be wrong for anybody to stay in the comfort of his room to make such wicked and unfounded conclusions,” Obaseki restated.

According to him, “Bosso did his best for the team for the two years he spent with his first year we ended the league 8th position and last season we ended 6th position.

“We are in good relationship with Bosso he is part of us we miss him but life must go on, he further remarked.”

Obaseki disclosed that the retained players are: George Michael, Ehis Kenneth, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Ajia Emmanuel, Mathias Samuel, Suleiman Dori, Tchoanfine Pade, Lucky Erimuya, Aghoha Otakho, Babangida lbrahim, Bello Kofarmata.

Others are Efe Yarhere, Abraham Audu, Hussain Bata, Hashimu Haliru, Alimanika, Usman Mohammed, lsiaka Olawale, Baakaka Ajikolo, Umar lsa, Sunday Anthony, Ali Yusuf, Yahuza Bala, Umar Audu , lsa Usman and Alhaji Mohammed.
