‘Zambia must fall’ says Akpeyi

By Daily Sports on October 6, 2017

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi has said the catch word for Saturday’s encounter against the Chipolopolo is ‘Zambia must fall’.

He said this is important because of the crucial nature of the match.

Akpeyi assured the side will secure the desired result against the Zambian counterparts, Chipolopolo.

“Of course, the desired result is nothing short of the three points at stake that will cement World Cup qualification for us.

“For us the catchword is ‘Zambia must fall’ and this is not to assume that the clash will be easy.

The Eagles are hosts of the Southern Africans in Saturday’s Fifa World Cup qualifier at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

Akpeyi said the Zambian side's boastfulness and tough talking heading into the crucial qualifying clash will count for nothing when the two sides square up for the all-important three points on Saturday.

“Nigerians should relax, we are determined to get the desired result against Zambia.

“The clash will be tough as Zambia is certain to throw in everything into the game to chance a win.

“A win will give them a hope for qualification while on our part we just have one chance to secure passage to Russia." © supersport.com
