Abduljelil Ajagun was among the goal scorers as Kortrijk edged a tightly contested eight-goal thriller 5-3 against RES Durbuy in a Beker Van Belgie tie decided today at the Guldensporen Stadion.

Ajagun scored the fifth and final goal for his team in the game which saw as many as five goals before the half time break with Kortrijk leading 3-2 at the break after leading into a 2-0 lead after 22 minutes.

The goal was Ajagun’s second of the season for the team he joined in the summer from Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade where he spent last season on loan from Greek side Panathinaikos .

His other goal came in the league when he netted in their 2-2 draw against Anderlecht last weekend, in the same gas where on loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru scored a brace for Anderlecht.

So far Ajagun who captained the Nigeria U20 team of 2013 has made seven league appearances , starting in all of the games he has played since his transfer in the summer.
