Dele Alampasu has edged closer to making his debut for the Super Eagles as he is one of the goalkeepers that has been invited for the back-to-back 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon, according to ScoreNigeria.
The 20-year-old has been called to the Nigeria squad since 2015, but is yet to play a competitive fixture for the Super Eagles.
He has been included in the squad to face Cameroon next month, and will be in contention to start for the three-time African champions, who will be without first choice goalkeeper, Carl Ikeme.“
(Dele) Alampasu is one of the goalkeepers who has been invited for the Cameroon games,” a top NFF source confirmed to ScoreNigeria.
However, Alampasu will have Ikechukwu Ezenwa for competition in the race to be in goal against the Cameroonians.
Ezenwa was in goal for the home-based Super Eagles team on Saturday and was impressive as Nigeria qualified for the 2018 CHAN tournament.
