Emmanuel Emenike has assured fans of Olympiacos he still has a lot of goals in him just as he is in line to make his UEFA Champions League bow for the Greek champions at Partizan Belgrade Tuesday.
Emenike, 30, has signed a two-year contract with Olympiacos after a difficult time at Turkish giants Fenerbache.
The striker, who retired from international football in 2015, made 93 appearances in all competitions during his time at Fenerbahce and scored 25 goals.
He has now called on the passionate fans of Olympiacos to stand behind their darling club as they seek more glory.
“Yes, they have good fans, they are always cheering especially when the goals are coming, I am aware of their love for the club, so I am equally banking on them for their support and patience,” said Emenike, who has played in Russia, England , South Africa and Dubai.
“I’m already aware of the big expectation from the fans and everybody related to the club, and I am ready to give them everything to build on what they have so far achieved.“
It’s an opportunity for me to prove I am not finished, I still have a lot to give in this game and I am here to do that for everyone to see.”
