Chelsea wonderkid Clinton Mola, who recently penned a new deal with the Stamford Bridge outfit, has cleared the air regarding the nations he is eligible to represent at international level.
Earlier reports had claimed that the central defender qualified to turn out for Nigeria apart from the England youth teams, but he quickly dismissed the information when contacted.
“'I am not Nigerian, I am English of Congolese descent,”' Clinton Mola told a top source close to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Mola has been capped by England at U15 and U16 level and does not need to apply to FIFA for a one-time switch if he decides to play for Congo now.
His new contract with The Blues will run out at the end of the 2018-2019 season.
