Rafael Nadal reached the semi-finals of the China Open with a 6-4 7-6 (7-0) victory over American John Isner.
The Spanish world number one will play Bulgarian third seed Grigor Dimitrov, who beat Spain's Roberto Bautista Agut 7-6 (7-5) 4-6 6-2 in Beijing.
Australian Nick Kyrgios faces Germany's Alexander Zverev, a 6-2 6-3 winner over Russian Andrey Rublev, in the semis.
Nadal, who is aiming for a sixth China Open title, overcame an eye problem to reach the last four.
He said: "It was just a hair or something, a hair from the tennis ball. It was bothering me for a while.
"It was not important, but I am still feeling it a little bit."
