Nigeria soccer sensation Henry Onyekuru has joined Premiership side, Everton and will earn 40,000 pounds a week as an Everton player.

After being linked several top clubs that includes Arsenal and PSG, Onyekuru finally ended a long-drawn transfer saga by signing a five-year contract with Everton Wednesday after he passed a medical.

A source close to the player told ScoreNigeria.com.ng that he is happy with the money involved.

“Henry is so happy now. Everton will pay him £40,000 a week and Eupen get eight million Euros as the transfer fee,” the source said.

Several other clubs were willing to pay him between 35,000 and 38,000 a week.

“He is so excited to make this decision. The Premier League is the league on his mind to play in and here he is with Everton.”

Onyekuru, 20, netted 24 goals last season for KAS Eupen which prompted a rash of clubs including Arsenal, Swansea, Liverpool, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Nice and PSG to show interest in signing him.
