Olayinka reveals FIFA ban nightmare

By Daily Sports on June 25, 2017

Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka has opened up on his four-month ban by FIFA in Albania, describing it as the worst of his promising career, while also backing himself to score goals for Zulte-Waregem in the coming season after he joined them on loan from another Belgian club Gent.

The former Skenderbeau Korce hitman said he is also looking forward to play for Nigeria after injury stopped him from playing for the U23s last year.

Olayinka said in an interview with Scorenigeria.com the Fifa ban incidence was the worst moment in his career.

“I was banned from playing football for four months. I was alleged to have signed for Kukesi and Skenderbeau which was not true. I don’t want to say much on that. It was hell staying away from the game for four months”.

He said he had to push himself hard to get back to the game at the end of the ban.
