“Semi-final no go easy” - Oshoala sparks fear over what Morocco could try against Nigeria

By DailySports Nigeria on January 11, 2026

Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has issued a warning ahead of Nigeria’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 semi-final clash against host nation Morocco.

On X, after Nigeria’s 2-0 quarter-final win over Algeria on Saturday, Oshoala wrote:

“That semi final no go easy sha o cus that WAFCON still Dey pain Morocco. Them go do everything and anything but the world will be watching. People wey carry referee wey officiate our final go court 😭 #AFCON2025”

The post alludes to lingering controversy from the WAFCON final, suggesting that the Moroccans may employ aggressive or unconventional tactics in an effort to overcome Nigeria.

With Nigeria set to face Morocco in the semi-finals, the warning signals a high-stakes showdown that will test the Eagles and Falcons on multiple fronts. Oshoala’s message underscores both the intensity of the upcoming encounter and the scrutiny that will accompany it, as the football world watches closely.
