MFM FC have placed a price tag of between 700,000 to a million dollars on NPFL leading scorer Stephen Odey, top officials have revealed.
MFM director Emmanuel Adeyemi said on a Lagos radio programme Wednesday that they are looking at cashing big time on the 19-year-old striker who has banged home 14 goals this season in the NPFL.
“We are looking between $700,000 to a million for the player,” he announced.
The top official further disclosed the striker is contracted to MFM FC contrary to claims the player is on a three-year loan to the club.
“He’s a bonafide player of MFM, he has a contract with our club” he maintained.
The player’s agent, Yusuf, said the striker is only on “a facility tour” of Danish club FC Midtjylland even though reports from Denmark have shown he is undergoing trials there.
He also confirmed the striker has a contract with MFM FC.
“He’s in Denmark on a medical,” added another club official.
“We were first not aware of his whereabouts, but that has since been sorted out and now we can tell you Odey is in Denmark.” (Scorenigeria)
