Brown Ideye has finally ended his Chinese Super League goal drought as fired past Wenyi Chi in Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Yanbian Fude.
The Nigeria international striker was heading for a poor run without a goal since joining the Tigers from Olympiacos, but was well positioned to score from a rebound after Mbaye Diagne’s initial effort was saved by Chi.
But the wait was finally over against Yanbian as Jaime Pacheco’s men cruised to a comfortable home win.
Ideye took to social media to react to his first goal in the Asian country: “That feeling when you scored your first goal, PRICELESS!!! Good job guys, Good the spirit,” he wrote on Instagram.
Tianjin are tenth on the log with 10 points from eight games and they visit Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium on April 29 for their fixture against Hebei CFFC. (Goal.com)
