Peter Odemwingie made a successful bow for Madura United as he found the target in an Indonesian topflight encounter against Bali United Busam on Sunday.
The 35-year-old who had featured for La Louvière, Lille, Lokomotiv Moscow, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, Stoke City, Bristol City and Rotherham United was signed to help Gomes de Olivera’s navigate Liga 1.
With the game 1-0 in favour of his side courtesy of Bayu Sanggiawan’s strike, he came off the bench in the second period and was quick to make an impression when he scored the second from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.
Madura United are second on the log with three points, and they travel to Andi Mattalata Stadium to face Herry Kiswanto’s Persela Lamongan on April 21. (Goal.com)
