Etebo in the dark regarding Fenerbahce interest

By Daily Sports on March 25, 2017

CD Feirense midfielder Oghenekaro Peter Etebo has stated that he's in the dark regarding interest from Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce.

It was reported that a Fenerbahce representative had met Etebo prior to Nigeria’s international game against Senegal in London, England on Thursday.

However, the 21-year-old midfielder dismissed the reports insisting that he hasn't met anyone from the Turkish giants.

“I have had no contact with Fenerbahce,” said Etebo to allnigeriasoccer.com.

“I just arrived in camp and I am surprised the information is all over the news,” the former Warri Wolves star continued.

“Nobody from Fenerbahce met with me since I came here.”

The promising midfielder was introduced with 29 minutes left as the Super Eagles and Senegal’s Lions of Teranga drew 1-1 at the Hive Stadium on Thursday night.

Etebo has made 15 appearances in the Portuguese Primeira Liga for Feirense this season – netting once for the club.
