Chairman of Cross River State Coaches Association and the Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Coaches Association, Ita Egbe, has congratulated Christian Chukwu on his recent appointment as the General Manager of Enugu Rangers FC.
According to Egbe, Chukwu’s appointment is well deserved as Rangers will be better for it. Egbe bared his mind while fielding questions during the week. He explained that with the wealth of experience that Chukwu, has having played the game to the highest level and having coached the club and the nations at various times, Rangers are bound to reap bountifully from his appointment.
“Talking of Chukwu’s appointment as the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Enugu Rangers, I must start by saying congratulations to him and the Enugu State Government for this well-deserved appointment.
“It is a well-deserved appointment because Chukwu is coming with unquantifiable wealth of experience. He’s one person who has seen it all as far as Nigerian football is concerned. He knows what it takes to reposition the club.
“Moreover, as a former player and coach, he knows what it means to attend to players and coaches welfare. I have no doubt that Rangers are going to reap a lot of benefits from Chukwu’s appointment as Rangers’ General Manager and Chief Executive Officer.
“He is not new in football and all along, he has served the club in various capacities but this is the climax and I have no doubt in my mind that the difference will be very clear at the end of his tenure because I see him turning around the fortunes of the club with the support of the government,” Egbe explained.
Speaking further Egbe wished Chukwu and Rangers well even as he pledged his support and those of them on the other side.
“I wish Chukwu well in his new assignment and I want to use this opportunity to pledge our loyalty and support to him. Those of us over here are happy for him and we wish him success in his new assignment. His success will open many opportunities to many people especially ex-internationals or players.
“So, it is a win-win situation for us and I am confident that we will all be happy for this Chukwu’s appointment because I see him turning or repositioning Rangers and from there, other clubs will take a cue from what happened at Rangers,” Egbe enthused.
