Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru has said he is “waiting and working” to move to Premier League club Arsenal.
Arsenal have already agreed a transfer fee of eight million Euros with Belgian club KAS Eupen and have also finalised personal terms with the newly capped Super Eagles player.
“It’s a good feeling for a club like Arsenal to make a bid for me,” he told the official website of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)
“This is due to my hard work in training and games
“I am waiting and working towards moving.
“Let’s wait and see how it goes after the (AFCON) qualifier (vs South Africa).”
The 19-year-old forward, who spent four and half years at the Aspire Academy in Qatar from 2011, said he has followed Arsenal and the legendary Thierry Henry while growing up in Lagos.
“Henry has always been my idol. I watch him on YouTube, I want be like him and also play in the Premier League,” he said.
