Leicester City saw a forgettable defence of their Premier League title hit a new low on Sunday.
The Foxes suffered a 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Swansea City to slip a little deeper into the mire.
Having incredibly surged to the crown last season, Claudio Ranieri’s side are in danger of becoming the first defending champions since Manchester City in 1937-38 to suffer relegation 12 months on.
As champions-elect, Leicester swept aside all before them with a mesmerising blend of defensive strength and counter-attacking panache.
They are now a shadow of their former selves, with another unwanted record set in the goal scoring department.
The Foxes have failed to register a Premier League goal in 2017, with their last effort coming in a 1-0 victory over West Ham on New Year’s Eve – 610 minutes ago.
Those struggles have led to Leicester collecting just one point since the turn of the calendar year, with no side in the top four tiers of English football boasting a worse record – Aston Villa, Coventry and Leyton Orient also have just a solitary point to show for their efforts. (Goal.com)
