Katsina United storm into NNL Super 4 final after bashing Remo Stars

Katsina United have stormed into the final of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 after they bashed Remo Stars 3-0.

Katsina led 1-0 before they ensured a big win after the interval with two more goals against the youthful Remo Stars in Gombe.

For the NNL Super 4 final, Katsina will now take on ABS FC, who defeated Gombe United 5-4 on penalties in the other semi-final.

"We know the opponents (ABS) , we watched them play in the opening game against Gombe United, they are good. I know they will give us a good fight, but we are equally ready to show we can battle for honours," declared Katsina coach Bala Nkiyu ahead of the match to determine the overall winners of the Nigeria second-tier league.

All four clubs will feature in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) next season - Gombe United, Remo Stars, Katsina United and ABS FC. (mtnfootball.com)
