Wikki Tourists attacking midfielder, Harrison Madu has said his side are preparing adequately for the upcoming preseason Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super 4 contest.
The annual preseason tournament among the continental teams, Enugu Rangers, Rivers United, FC IfeanyiUbah and Wikki Tourists will hold in Enugu from December 07 – 11.
Madu said his side are determined not to make up the numbers but to go ahead to claim the NPFL Super 4 top prize.
“We are keenly looking forward to the commencement of the NPFL Super 4 competition in Enugu early next month.
“We know the challenges at the Super 4 will be tough given the pedigree of the participants.
“That’s why we are not leaving anything to chance to ensure we did not add up to the number but contest for the top prize.
“Already we have key build-up matches in Gombe on Monday and Tuesday against Gombe United and El Kanemi Warriors.
“Thereafter we are expected to head off to Kaduna where we will equally play top grade friendlies before we storm Enugu for the preseason tournament.
“Good enough we have a good and nice coach in the person of Mohammed Baba Ganaru.
“Ganaru is a nice coach to work with as we are enjoying his approach to training.
“We are committed to reward him with good results as well as offer him our undivided cooperation.
“We are hopeful the upcoming season both inside and outside will be huge success for us,” said Madu to supersport.com.
Wikki Tourists were expected to step in to replace Supreme Court FC at the on-going preseason tournament, Gold Cup in Ijebu Ode they, too due to unforeseen circumstance did not show up at the competition. (Supersport)
