El-Kanemi 40-man team in Gombe for close camping

Players and official of El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, the Borno army, have arrived Gombe for a week’s close camping ahead of the new season.
Chairman of the club, Alhaji Zanna Mohammed, through the team’s Media Manager, Prince Anthony Obaseki says the team is already in Gombe for a week-long close camping before moving to Kaduna for a tournament.

According to the chairman, the team will play some friendly matches while in Gombe, having started in time to get ready for the new season.

“We are going to Gombe with the old and new players all together 40 players, the league will kick off December 18, so we need to get our house in order. That is why we are in close camping to enable the team prepare well,” Mohammed revealed.

He thanked the state Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima for providing the funds for the first phase of camping and the Commissioner for Sports in the state for their support to the team.

“The technical crew led by Ladan Issah Bosso has been doing well and I believe with what I saw during the screening we are working towards our target,” Zanna declares.
