El-Kanemi Warriors target continental ticket next season •Thank Borno State Govt. for support

Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri, Alhaji Zanna Mohammed Kakaje, hopes the team will pick one of the continental tickets come next season.

According to him, if the team had started the league at home (Maiduguri) the side could have been among the top teams.

“We have started planning for the next season. As I talk with you now the team will resume at the end of this month. We are also having discussion with Ladan Bosso and by the time we finish with him, we‘ll know the players that are going to be retained and the ones we are hiring,“ the LMC Director reveals.

He used the  occasion to thank the people and government of Borno State for their support to the team.

“Let me wholeheartedly on behalf of the management, staff, players and supporters of the team say a very big thank you to the Governor Kashim Shettima the number one supporter of the team for providing funds for the squad. Our target is to play in the continent next season with our performance this season and our plan to start early for next season, we will get one of the tickets. We are going for a close camping ahead of the new season with the way things are going second week of November is the date we plan for the camping,” Zanna informs.
