Paulson football academy selects 25 U-17 players

The Paulson Football Academy U-17 recruitment trials have ended in Benin, Edo State, with 25 players selected from the rigorous exercise.

According to the National Coordinator of the academy, Oliver Ndigwe, the selected players will resume in the academy in Benin City next week Monday.

“I must reveal to you that I am very glad for the turnout of players here in Benin for this national U-17 recruitment trials. Infact, the players that were selected played exactly what the academy is looking for,” he said.

The lucky players are: Purpose Patrick, Dennis Okewgbe, Tosin Funlosho, Osaro Joseph, Wellington Friday, Adebayo Odumosu. Others are, Abudu Eiton, Theophius Kingsley, Steven Ovierokly, Aghoteam Endurance, Osagie Endurance, Osaheden Robinson, Osabohen Miracle, Emmanuel Micheal Isaac  Justice. The rest are, Hope Fine Idemudia, Aimufua Junior Aimufua, Imosili Monday, Promise Onye, Osagbovo Enugie Emmanuel Monday, Mavis Amadi, Obasogie lkpomwonsa, Uwas Obasogie and Julius Blessed.

The Coordinator says the Awka centre took place on October 25 and 26 at the Awka Township Stadium; Lagos October 27 and 28 at Ajah Sports Group after Lagos Business School which marked the final of the first phase of this year’s national U-17 recruitment trials.

“All the selected players from the others centres will meet in the academy in Benin for camping before the trip to Ghana and other playing tournaments outside the country,” Ndigwe disclosed.
