The 12th edition of Kidsport Charity Cup will hold on Saturday 10 December at the sports centre of the University of Lagos, Akoka.
Since 2009, Kidsport Charity Cup has hosted orphanages and welfare homes in Lagos to a dynamic football tournament, and Season 12 which holds on Saturday promises to be another package that will stand the test of time.
Tagged Kidsport Cup Season 12 - World Cup edition, the one day tournament will bring together no fewer than six orphanage homes, two schools, two grassroots football academies and two organisations to fight for honours.
Three times winners, Citadel of Hope will be aiming to make it fourth in this year's edition. Defending champions, Project Friendship Initiative will have their hands full defending the cup won in the last edition.
The SOS Children's Home is another good team to look out for, even as new comers, Street Child, though they seem to be underdogs, will also have their eyes set on the coveted trophy by given the old timers a good run for their money.
The Kidsport Charity Cup, which is organised by Bukola Alabi-led Kidsport, is proudly sponsored by Kingmakers and supported by Eauxwell, Mavlon Consult, Cool Wazobia Nigeria Info, Kids Being Kids, La Casera, Smoov drink, Nirvana water, Bold drink, Doculand, Olsen Decker, The Lemonade Network, Pepsi and Flycorp.
