Emordi set to take over Abia Warriors

By Daily Sports on October 28, 2016

Veteran Okey Emordi has agreed personal terms and he is set to soon be appointed new coach of Nigeria premier league club Abia Warriors, officials said.

Emordi guided Enyimba to win the 2004 CAF Champions League and has handled some of the country's top clubs including Rangers and Kano Pillars.

He has also handled the country's home-based Eagles.

Chairman of Abia Warriors Emeka Inyama said the coach has agreed personal terms and he will soon be presented to the public after all documentations must have been concluded.

Inyama further hinted that the team is also engaging the services of a match analyst, who will assist the new coach in achieving the desired results.

He further stated that coach Abdullahi Biffo, who is currently on training in US will also be part of the technical crew.

"We are aiming for the best this season, and remain optimistic that the 2016/2017 football season would be a better one for Abia Warriors," he said.

Biffo helped Abia Warriors to safety this past season. (mtnfootball.com)
