UAE club Al Ahli are sweating on the fitness of Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan after he suffered an injury this past weekend.
Gyan started and scored for Al Ahli in their win over FUS Rabat to claim the Emirati-Moroccan Super Cup on Sunday at the Rashid Stadium.
Habib Fardan flicked on a ball for Gyan, who applied a great finish inside the penalty area to net his fifth goals in six matches for the UAE team.
However, the Ghanaian – who is on loan from Chinese Shanghai SIPG – was stretched off soon afterwards with a muscle problem.
Al Ahli will hope the player is fit for the visit of Dibba Al Fujairah in their next Arabian Gulf League match on Saturday evening. (mtnfootball.com)
