AFCON 2023: Super Eagles coach Peseiro suggests how Nigeria can get to final

By DailySports Nigeria on February 4, 2024

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has suggested two ways his team can get to the final of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cote d’Ivoire.

Peseiro, in a tweet via his X account on Saturday night, said Super Eagles players need to ‘keep their feet on the ground and stay focused to qualify for the AFCON final.

“Our players were once again extraordinary. Many congratulations,” the Portuguese tweeted.

“We are in the semi-finals. Keep our feet on the ground; stay focused to conquer our place in the final.”

Nigeria qualified for the AFCON semi-final on Friday after beating Angola in the quarter-final.

Peseiro’s men will face the winner between South Africa and Cape Verde in the last four on Wednesday.
