Ogunbote to begin Akwa United contract talks today

By Daily Sports on October 17, 2016

Coach Gbenga Ogunbote is expected in Uyo today (Monday) to open contract talks with Akwa United.

Ogunbote, who steered Shooting Stars clear of relegation for the second straight season, is now the top target for Akwa United after Imama Amapakabo opted to stay put at champions Enugu Rangers.

Should Ogunbote agree a contract with ‘The Promise Keepers’, he will replace the experienced Belgian Maurice Cooreman.

Akwa United have already embarked on a massive re-organisation after they finished a disappointing 14th this past season.

They have fired nine top players mostly for indiscipline. (mtnfootball.com)
