Mohammed Babaganaru has revealed that Kano Pillars won’t play soft against Heartland when they battle for points in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
He said his boys are out of consideration for the league title but they still have a mathematical chance of qualifying for a Caf club competition if they defeat the Naze Millionaires and secure another home win against Niger Tornadoes.
“We are not in Owerri to count the streets there. We are there for serious business because we know we can still pick a ticket to the continent if we win our last two matches. We will start with the tie in Owerri first before talking about our last home match of the season against Tornadoes. We won’t give them breather at all,” Babaganaru told Goal.
Pillars have been inconsistent this season and it marked another near barren run campaign again. They have gone two seasons now without a title after winning three league crowns in succession between 2012 and 2014.
Pillars are sixth on the log with 51 points from 34 matches. (goal.com)
