Just watched a clip that had Wilfred Ndidi and Ademola Lookman responding to some reporters about the drama Osimhen put up during last night's match. I was blown away by how well they articulated and de-escalated what many had termed the beginning of a very frosty relationship among the players and fouling of the mood in the Super Eagles camp.

And all I could say is "play football if you can, but by all means get enough wisdom and class. Indeed, I think football and a good education should exist side by side. Those guys showed exceptional qualities in their speech yesterday.

It is one thing to want to cover up that altercation and make it look normal, it's another thing to dignify a teammate who oversteps and not castigate him publicly. That is leadership. That is class. And those guys showed enough of that in their response; especially to journalists who wanted a headline from whatever they were expecting the two of them to say. Well done guys!

What is on hand now should be focus, understanding, guidance exemplary behavior, coordination and cooperation in this context/circumstances.

The Eagles team is not one man show. Love should be uppermost in the camp now. The stage is set and critical in the AFCON football summit, any slip can be too dangerous for a team. No complacency this time. Super Eagles resilient spirit since the beginning of the championship should be uppermost. The boys looked determined together.

That resolve should be as optimistic as it has been awesome so far.

Victor Osimhen should be reached immediately and be told that cool cooperation which has been existing within the team since the tournament kicked - off should remain steadfast and solid.

The quarter final stage must be based on clear decision and must be clinical, precise and with teamwork spirit.

Daily Sports Nigeria (DSN) feels that whatever transpired yesterday during and after the most beautiful round of 16 game against the Mambas of Mozambique where walloping 4 - 0 goals were scored without conceding, and how Victor Osimhen's indifference when the fourth goal was scored and also how he quietly walk into his hotel room, should be amicably settled. This must be nipped on bud immediately so that the order and peace that have been in the center stage would continue.
