Watford record signing and Nigerian international Isaac Success missed out on his team's opening game of the season away at Southampton last weekend due to a knock. But the powerful attacker has revealed that he will be fit for Saturday’s home game against Chelsea at Vicarage road.
Success called to inform his former (grassroots) coach Douglas Idahosa of his knock that kept him out of action on Saturday as his team secured an away draw at Southampton. Idahosa says however, that his protege is fired up for the visit of Chelsea and Watford’s week 3 away game at Arsenal.
“Success understands he will likely kick off his English premiership career with matches against two of the top teams in the land starring with the home game against Chelsea. He can’t wait to hit the ground running. He’s told me how excited he is to be starting with Chelsea and then heading to Arsenal,” Idahosa told Daily Sports.
Daily Sports also understands that fans of Watford have taken a real liking of Success as he’s been involved in some charity works already as well as being impressive in the club's training sessions.
Watford began their premier league campaign with an impressive away draw at Southampton last Saturday, and with fellow Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo penning a new five-year deal with the club, couples with the presence of the very popular Troy Deeney in attack, Success has a fight on his hands to be a regular in Watford’s first team.
Assistant coach of BJ Foundation Kenneth Imana, while noting that Success is up to the task, tasked the young lad to put everything to win the heart of Coach Walter Mazzari. “He must do more and realise that this is a new league and club with different demands. But I’m sure he can achieve a lot at Watford,” he says.
