Chukwueze bound for Milan exit despite Parma heroics

By Daily Sports Nigeria on January 28, 2025

Samuel Chukwueze’s match-winner against Parma on Sunday won’t sway AC Milan from trying to offload the Nigerian player as they are expected to submit a new offer for Bologna winger Riccardo Orsolini, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

According to Sempremilan, the Italian giants are expected to offer Chukwueze on loan plus a permanent deal for Noah Okafor to land Orsolini after having a first bid rejected.

On Sunday, Chukwueze came off the bench and bailed Milan from dropping more points in the Serie A, scoring a 95th-minute winner against Parma in a 3-2 thriller.

Despite this, Sky (via MilanNews) is reporting that Milan are not giving up on Orsolini. After the initial approach of the last few days, with the first official offer, the Rossoneri directors are preparing a new offer for the Bologna captain.

The first bid was €18m in cash plus Noah Okafor as a counterpart and it was rejected. Geoffrey Moncada and the management could raise the cash sum to €20m, and then include the loan of Chukwueze in addition to Okafor on a permanent deal.

Previous reports from Italy have also said AC Milan are willing to offload Super Eagles winger this month as new manager Sergio Conceicao plans a winter revolution at the San Siro.

According to Sportitalia via Sportmediaset on Monday, the Portuguese tactician would not oppose Chukwueze’s departure.

Despite being Milan’s most expensive signing in the summer of 2023, the Nigerian has failed to live up to expectations since he arrived from Villarreal.

In his first season at the San Siro, he scored three goals and three assists in 33 games across all competitions.

He has improved on his performance this term, having already scored four goals plus one assist in 24 games despite not having enough game time.
