If You Think You Are So Powerful, So Popular, Go and Register a Party- Robinson Ewoh to Wike

By Daily Sports Nigeria on January 15, 2025

A former Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers West, Robinson Ewor, has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to establish his own political party if he believes he is influential and popular enough.

Ewor made this statement during an interview with Channels TV while responding to the judgment of the Rivers State High Court, which nullified the ward, local government, and state congresses of the PDP conducted in 2024.

These congresses had resulted in the emergence of Wike's allies as executives at various levels of the party, significantly undermining Governor Siminalayi Fubara's position in the PDP in Rivers State.

Ewor noted that the court's decision has restored the leadership of the PDP to its rightful owner, Governor Siminalayi Fubara. He emphasized that Nyesom Wike should not disrupt or dismantle what others have built but should instead create his own platform if he claims to possess exceptional influence. According to Ewor, the ruling has reaffirmed Governor Fubara's rightful position as the leader of the PDP in Rivers State.

He said, "If you think you are a superman, you are so powerful, you are so popular, go and register a political party. Don't hang on to the labor of others, don't destroy the foundation of others, don't destroy what others built, build your own foundation, lay your own foundation, build your house. What the court has done now, is to return the party to the original owner that is supposed to lead the party, which is the governor of the state, Sir Siminalayi Fubara."
