Lagos SWAN Commiserates With Bishop Wale Oke Over Mother's Death

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter has expressed its condolence to Bishop Francis Wale Oke Over the death of his mother, Mama Elizabeth Areola Oke.

Mama Oke slept in the Lord on Tuesday 2 April 2024.

Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni said in a statement that "our thoughts are with Bishop Wale Oke during this time of sorrow following the loss of his mother. 

"On behalf of members of sports journalists in Lagos, I would like to wish you comfort during this difficult time, and my deepest sympathies go to you and your family," Oladunni said.

According to the family, a service of songs will be held for the late Mama Oke on Thursday, 13th June 2024 by 4pm at James Oke Memorial Anglican Church, Kasumu Village, Off Olodo, Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, while the Funeral Service holds the following day by 11am at the same Anglican Church.

The late Matriarch was survived by Bishop Francis Wale Oke, President, Sword of the Spirit Ministries, who is also the Chancellor, Precious Cornerstone University and National President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and other children and grandchildren.
