Rangers International FC, Enugu Coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, says the away 1-0 defeat by Abia Warriors is very painful, but the team has moved on with many games ahead to play this season in NPFL.
Abia Warriors defeated Rangers 1-0 in the Oriental derby played in Umuahia on Sunday.
Collins Nwoburuoke scored the decisive goal in the second minute.
But the Enugu-based club gaffer said "we still have to wait for next time, we have some many games ahead to play. What we have to do is to see to our next game.
"Our next game is important to us. We are supposed to get something positive against Abia Warriors, but that is football," he said.
Thus, Ilechukwu said the Umuahia Stadium where the match was played did not worth hosting any NPFL games.
"We are not supposed to play football here, because the pitch doesn't worth it.
"The pitch is not good to host such big game like NPFL in any reason. Abia state government should find a solution and make this place better where everybody will express themselves.
"I think today's game was so fantastic for both sides, we have to go home and start working hard for our next match," he said.
Ilechukwu, who joined Rangers before the season began in July, however, commended Abia Warriors goalkeeper's good performance in the match.
"I think the goalkeeper was the best player in today's match. He denied us our chances and that is football," he said.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars are back on top of the Nigeria Premier Football League courtesy of a 2-1 home win against Shooting Stars.
Adebayo Waheed and Kalu Orji were on target for the home team in the game.
Shooting Stars scored their goal through Gideon Monday.
Former champions Akwa United fell to a 1-0 defeat against Niger Tornadoes at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, with Bashir Usman scoring the only goal of the game in the 25th minute from time.
