Lagos SWAN Chairman, Oladunni Celebrates Oba Of Lagos At 80

The chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos chapter, has felicitated with the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu who is celebrating his 80th birthday.

In a statement made public on Sunday, the Lagos SWAN chairman, Olatutu Oladunni said: “It is important we celebrate our own and also appreciate the grace of God upon their lives.

The entire membership of SWAN Lagos state chapter celebrates Oba of Lagos, Kabiyesi, Oba Rilwan Akiolu as he clocks 80 majestically.

“Joining the Octagarian Enigma is simply a divine grace from the Almighty and also a special privilege,” the Lagos SWAN said in the birthday message.

Oladunni said Oba Akiolu, a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police, has been a distinct leader per excellence and a committed personality towards serving humanity.

“Oba Akiolu’s amazing dedication towards sports developmental growth and youth advancement is worthy of commendable.”

She said Oba Akiolu has brought quality and dynamic leadership to Lagosians since his ascension to the throne in 2003.

“On behalf of the Executive Committee and the entire membership of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, I celebrate His Royal Majesty, Kabiyesi Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba Lagos, on the auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday,” Oladunni said.
