The Central Africans were once again humbled by the Super Eagles of Nigeria, as the Nigerians demolished Sao Tome and Principe by six goals to nothing in Uyo.

His first goal came in the 13th minute, after he capitalized on a cross and headed past the goal line to give Nigeria the early lead.
Just a few minutes after Osimhen's wicked header, Atalanta forward, Ademola lookman, struck home a curler to beat Sao Tome goalkeeper who was constantly kept on his toes in the 27th minute.
Before the end of the first half, a quick exchange of pass between Awoniyi and Osimhen found the legs of Iheanacho who put the ball past the goalkeeper, but the referee ruled it as offside.
The dramatic first half came to an end, with Nigeria going into the dressing room with two goals against Sao Tome's zero.
