…ranked third globally after Mbappe, Haaland
Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, has been ranked Serie A’s most financially valued player following his meteoric rise in the topflight division and breaking Paulo Dybala’s record, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Dybala had a market value of €110m in 2018 when he was still playing for Juventus.
According to Transfermarkt, in their latest update on the players in the Serie A, Osimhen, who claimed the Capocannoniere award last season after scoring 26 goals in 32 league games, has seen his market value increase by another €20m to €120m.
AC Milan forward, Rafael Leao, is second on the list after his market value increased by €10m to €90m, which is a new personal record and sees him surpass Lautaro Martinez, who is now worth €85m, after his valuation increased by €5m.
Osimhen’s Napoli teammate, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, is fourth on the list with the Georgian winger now worth €85m
Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barela is fifth with a market value of €75m, while Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is sixth in the list with €70m.
Alessandro Bastoni, Theo Hernandez, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Mike Maignan complete the top 10 list of most valued players in Italy’s topflight league.
Also, Osimhen is ranked third behind only Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland on the list of the most valued strikers globally.
Both players are valued at €180m each.
Haaland was valued at €170m in January but saw a €10m increase after winning the Treble and claiming the Golden Boot in his first season in the Premier League. Although Haaland and Mbappe are the same value, the Norwegian is ranked No.1 by virtue of being younger than Mbappe by two years.
In fourth place is Harry Kane, while Martinez takes fifth spot.
French duo Kolo Muani and Christopher Nkunku are joint sixth, while Gabriel Jesus, Alexander Isak and Vlahovic complete the top 10.
Meanwhile, Osimhen has picked up where he left off last term, scoring three goals in the opening two Serie A games of the new season.
