No fewer than four Super Eagles stars were spotted at the 02 Arena concert in London, United Kingdom, on Sunday night as Nigerian artiste Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, thrilled fans.
Nottingham Forest forwards Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis and Brentford midfielder, Frank Onyeka turned up to watch Asake perform in front of a sold-out 20,000 people.
Winger Moses Simon also travelled down from France to watch the BET-nominated artiste perform in London.
The presence of the four Eagles stars at the concert has been well received by fans as pictures of the players went viral on social media.
Asake’s entry into the performance on a specially designed helicopter by YBNL was a significant high point of the performance.
YBNL boss Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy and American singer Fridayy, among others, all performed at the concert, treating fans to a nice time.
Back to the pitch, Awoniyi will hope to continue his impressive form when Forest travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Saturday.
The 23-year-old has scored two goals in two league appearances this season, but Dennis is yet to feature in the 2023/24 season and will be available in Steve Cooper’s squad to Manchester.
Onyeka’s 2022/23 campaign was blighted by injuries and the midfielder is yet to make any appearance so far in Brentford’s two matches played so far. He will, however, hope to make his first appearance this term when the Bees face Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Simon was part of the Nantes team that suffered a 2-0 defeat to LOSC Lille on Sunday, a few hours before gracing Asake’s concert. He will hope to help his side return to winning ways when they host Monaco in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
