Sporting Lagos and Akwa United have joined the six clubs who qualified through the playoffs in Thursday's draw of the Naija Super 8, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The two teams filled the two unoccupied position as first and second wildcards as revealed by the organisers prior to the draw held in Lagos.
In the draws, group A have Remo Stars, Katsina United, Enyimba FC and Sporting Lagos while in group B; Akwa United, Yobe Desert Stars, Rivers United and Lobi Stars.
Teams participating in the group stage will get 9 million naira each apart from the initial 2 million received during the playoffs in Eket.
Semi finalists after 3 group games in Lagos will get additional 3 million each cash while the two finalists get additional N9m cash.
The Winner gets N25m prize money.
Tournament is scheduled for the 7th-16th July 2023 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos State.
