The Sport Writers Association Of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos Chapter has congratulate the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Speaker Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa over his re- election victory in the just concluded Governorship and House of Assembly election held nationwide on 18th March 2023 .
Chairman of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni Executive Committee and the entire members of SWAN Lagos chapter expressed their joy over Rt.Hon Speaker's re-election to office for the sixth term .
While felicitating with leader of the most prestigious House of Assembly in Nigeria, Olatutu Oladunni said the re-election of the Speaker for the sixth term consecutively is a good remark of excellence for people in Agege and also for the citizens in lagos state.
The Lagos SWAN Chairman said, the victory isn't coming as a surprise , because the lawmaker has been a committed and relentless legislator since inception and have also hold his people in high esteem regardless of the circumstances.
Olatutu Oladunni notes that ,the Rt.Hon Speaker, has been in the forefront in taking Lagos to greater heights as we can see the footprint in sports sector and making the state a habitable arena, and tourism haven for sports enthusiasts and other individuals who believe in the competent capacity pf Lagos State .
Oladunni urged the Speaker to always continue to protect the interest of the good people of Lagos in his legislative functions as he has always do.
She said , it will be a great deal and greater progress if the Speaker invest more in sports and collaborate with Lagos SWAN to promote some sports developmental Initiatives amongs youths and growing athletes.
She said it will also be a great relieve if the legislative chamber via Rt Hon Speaker can support the sports journalist in the next Assembly. As this will go a long way to boost a constructive reportage and also enhance positive progress in the society without any bias.
She also used the opportunity to commend the Speaker for his philantropic works in sports growth and youth developmental advancement in lagos and beyond.
Oladunni also congratulate other elected legislative members of the House of Assembly and enjoins them to keep working together with the people of the state in order to attract better dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
