Graham Roberts believes that Harry Kane can still get close to Erling Haaland in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot this season, and maybe even catch him.
Kane’s brilliant strike into the bottom corner at Craven Cottage, which gave Tottenham all three points against Fulham, was the striker’s 16th goal of the Premier League season in 21 matches.
The goal also saw him go level with Jimmy Greaves as Tottenham’s top scorer with 266 strikes to his name so far.
The striker has been written off time and again over the years and has had to deal with more than his share of criticism but he has proven this season that he is still very much at the peak of his powers.
If not for the ridiculous start that Erling Haaland has made to his Premier League career (the Norwegian has 25 goals to his name already), perhaps Kane would be getting a lot more plaudits for his exploits this season.
Roberts believes that the Tottenham man is capable of making up the nine-goal deficit on Haaland over the coming months.
