Germany Bundesliga Eintracht Frankfurt is set to complete the transfer with KRC Genk for the services of Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu on Friday.
Onuachu, 28-year-old has hit another form of his life as he is currently the top scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League this term with 14 goals from 18 matches.
According to news outlets, Voetbalnieuws and Tuttomercatoweb, the lanky Nigerian may have said his goodbyes to the Cegeka Arena as he will be out of Genk’s home game against Seraing.
The news of Eintracht Frankfurt’s chase for Onuachu broke a few days ago and appears to be very concrete after Genk rejected a €12m offer from Premier League side Southampton.
The Belgian values Onuachu around €25m and are not willing to sell below that price.
But with Eintracht Frankfurt’s initial €15m offer which however fell short of Genk’s valuation for the Nigerian, there is an indication that the German club are in another round of talks to up their offer and would even like to complete the transfer by Friday at the latest.
Meanwhile, KRC Genk struck very quickly this winter and secured two offensive reinforcements with former Flying Eagles Yira Sor and Anouar Ait El Hadj.
That turned out to be a smart move by the league leader because their attack seems to be decapitated with the likely departure of both Andras Nemeth and top scorer Onuachu.
