The agent of Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has told Daily Sports that negotiations for a move to Besiktas for the Chelsea-owned defender are ongoing.
Obinna Emelogu says that Omeruo (who played last season on loan at Kasimpasa in the Turkish top flight) is open to either another loan move or a permanent deal with Turish giants Besiktas.
The move to Besiktas “is not yet concluded,” Emelogu said. He added that whether it’s a loan or permanent move “depends on how talks go.”
Daily Sports asked if there was any time limit within which Emelogu expects a deal to have been struck between his camp and Besiktas, and he responded by saying he expects the deal to go through “as soon as possible.”
If the move is completed as is expected, Omeruo would be in line to feature in the Champions League, in which Besiktas would be participating as champions of Turkey.
Omeruo is in his penultimate year of his contract with Chelsea.
